Conference
The GOWS-J 2025 conference was held under the theme “The Current State of Offshore Wind Power in Japan.” It reflected on the progress of domestic offshore wind development since the launch of the public-private cooperation conference and highlighted four key current challenges.
The conference also featured practical discussions, including an international comparison of Japan’s offshore wind policy (Intergovernmental Panel), a session on international cooperation and human resource development, and a session on floating technology for the future.
Check back here for an update on what the 2026 conference will entail.
Dinner Party
GOWS-J will hold an official dinner party for the purpose of networking among participants. The sake barrel opening ceremony by the representative and attractions featuring traditional performing arts of the hosting area are also popular with participants every year.
At the venue, you can freely interact with speakers and people involved in offshore wind power generation from Japan and abroad while enjoying food and drinks. Those who purchase either the A Ticket or the Official Dinner Party Ticket (optional) can attend the Official Dinner Party.
