About Jigs

Jigs Consolacion is a renewable energy professional focused on advancing wind energy development in the Philippines. As Senior Policy Officer at the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), he works with government, industry, community, and development partners to support policy and regulatory frameworks that enable the growth of wind power in the country.

Before joining GWEC, Jigs held roles across the development, EPC, and commercial sectors of the Philippine power industry. He has worked with leading energy companies on a range of technologies, including solar, natural gas, and conventional power, contributing to project development, market modeling, and power system planning. Jigs holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman and is a licensed Electrical Engineer. He brings a blend of technical expertise and policy experience to support the Philippines’ clean energy transition.
