Conference
The GOWS-J 2025 conference will be held under the theme “The Current State of Offshore Wind Power in Japan.” It will reflect on the progress of domestic offshore wind development since the launch of the public-private cooperation conference and highlight four key current challenges.
The question “Is Japan’s Offshore Wind Power OK?”, is not intended to cast a pessimistic view, but rather to spark discussion on ambitious and forward-looking solutions that ensure steady progress in the sector.
The conference will also feature practical discussions, including an international comparison of Japan’s offshore wind policy (Intergovernmental Panel), a session on international cooperation and human resource development, and a session on floating technology for the future.

Dinner Party
GOWS-J will hold an official dinner party for the purpose of networking among participants. The sake barrel opening ceremony by the representative and attractions featuring traditional performing arts of the hosting area are also popular with participants every year.
At the venue, you can freely interact with speakers and people involved in offshore wind power generation from Japan and abroad while enjoying food and drinks. Those who purchase either the A Ticket or the Official Dinner Party Ticket (optional) can attend the Official Dinner Party.
