Wind Energy: Powering the Future

Wind energy is already powering positive change, passing 1 TW of wind energy capacity in 2023 on its continuing upwards trajectory that should see it pass 2 TW by the end of this decade.  

But this industry never sits still - there is so much more to come. Wind energy, and the constantly evolving cast of pioneers that drive the industry, will build the foundation of the future global clean energy system while delivering a key climate solution for people, communities and governments in every region of the world.

This Gala Dinner will take place in Lisbon, reflecting Portugal’s strong heritage as a first mover and ongoing leader in the wind sector, as well as being the new home of GWEC. 
 
The evening will bring together the pioneering innovators, business leaders, policy makers and thinkers who have made the wind energy revolution possible and are pointing the way to ‘Wind Energy 2.0’ in the context of global efforts to triple renewable energy.
