Tender invitations for Lidar to explore Indian offshore resource

India’s Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CStep) has invited tenders for first Lidar units to explore the offshore wind resource off the states of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

Being run as part of the Fowind (Facilitating Offshore Wind in India) project, spearheaded by the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), the selected technologies will deployed across “various offshore locations, on existing platforms or suitable structures” in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
