ENEL Green Power CEO Francesco Starace and EWEA 2013 Conference Chair told the European Wind Energy Association’s blog: “Despite the concerns on the short-term outlook, positive signals are coming from promising markets in Eastern Europe.” Keynote speakers include the Irish and Turkish energy ministers, as well as the economic minister from host country Austria. Ireland will hold the Presidency of the EU in 2013, Turkey is the epitome of an “emerging market” for wind energy and Austria hopes to get 71% of its electricity from renewable energy by 2020.
The well-known conference and exhibition will take place in Vienna, the gateway between the established wind energy markets and the new opportunities in the east.
