Ramboll grabs order for 300-MW Chinese offshore wind farm

Danish engineering consultancy Ramboll has won a contract to design the turbine foundations for a 300-MW offshore wind farm of Beijing-based State Power Investment Corp (SPIC).

The deal was awarded by Huadong Engineering Corp, Ramboll said on Thursday. It includes a detailed design of the 75 mono-pile wind turbine foundations, as well as geotechnical studies, numerical modelling of waves, currents and tidal variations.

The SPIC Binhai South Phase 3 wind farm project will be built in the Yellow Sea north of Shanghai.
