At GWEC, 2012 was a busy year for publications: We started the year with our Global statistics release, followed by the GWEC Global Wind Report – Annual Market Update for 2011. This autumn we published the China Wind Energy Outlook with insights into the Chinese wind market. The fourth edition of the Global Wind Energy Outlook which paints a picture of three different futures for the wind industry, looking at scenarios out to 2020, 2030 and 2050 was released jointly with Greenpeace at the Kempinski Hotel in Beijing in mid-November. And finally, the India Wind Energy Outlook was launched at the Wind Power India in the end of November in Chennai.
For 2013, we have lined up a couple of interesting reports, including ‘Successful policy and regulatory frameworks for deployment of wind energy in new markets’ (the final report of the IRENA project, which will be published in January 2013 in Abu Dhabi), Global statistics release in February and Annual Market Update in March-April. We are also looking at doing some smaller emerging market updates as well as ‘issue briefs’ on some important topics.
