With a new renewables law approved last year and the inauguration of pro-market Mauricio Macri as president in January, Argentina and its two terawatt hour-plus wind potential are firmly in the sights of the global industry.

By the end of the year, the country plans to hold its first renewables auction since 2006 (most of the projects contracted then have yet to be built for lack of financing).
