    Spain’s renewable power share at 39.5% in 8-mo 2015

    Renewable power plants produced 39.5% of Spain’s power in the first eight months of 2015, with wind power having the largest share at 19.6%, said grid operator Red Electrica de Espana (REE).

    Hydropower had a 12.3% share in the country’s mix in January-August. The remaining 7.6% were spread between solar energy and thermal renewables.

    Germany’s Senvion eyes new markets in expansion drive
